geeceeteesee (queer solo artist from calgary, canada) released "DARK LIGHT" in april. this full length contains some of the most inspired tracks he's released and it's also a return to his noiser roots. with "DARK LIGHT" he has found a good balance of harsh and soft, "gospelgeddon" is a cut and paste radio track set to harmonica and a fergie sample, "covered in stones" is a dreamy intro made from ringer samples and distortion, "maybe another time" is a hip-hop style track that wouldn't sound misplaced on an m.i.a. record and "monkey gone to heaven"; a pixies cover, was made from scratches on an old record player.
